If you've ever been to Texas then you would know that if you don't like the weather just stick around a little bit and it will change. As you can see it has! Yesterday and for the last two weeks it has been around 85 degrees and today it's about 45 degrees. So now I'm running around trying to protect my plants.
This is my onions. I wrapped them like a present with a heavy duty tarp.

Seed Starters
Hello again....
Well this week I am going to plant most of my seeds into small paper planters that I made. Here is the video I found on youtube on how to make them.
This was very easy to do, and the best thing that has come out of the classifieds in years.
Then I added soil and seeds. Hopefully this will work out. I will keep you updated.
And last but not least it has been a week since I planted my onions and they're GROWING!!!!! WOO! HOO!
So until next time....

I'M BACK.....
Well I'm going to try this again. I am not the computer junkie that my wife is, so please understand if I don't always comment or blog as often.
I have decided to blog because I have started my garden. Now this is the first garden that I will grow by myself, but I have helped my Dad with his for years. The only difference will be that I will only use all organic materials and not all the chemicals that produce 20 pound tomatoes.
First I borrowed some old pallets from my Dad and broke them up. Then I used the wood to build these planter boxes.
Then I added some black trash bags to the bottom.

And finally we planted the onions. Some will become onions and some I'll pick early to eat as scallions.
Then we added a gate around them because we have a dog that loves to dig.
My next project will be tilling the area where my garden will be, so I'll keep you posted.
